I just completed the silk
painting Workshop. Yelena shared the secrets to her magic. She was generous
with her time, materials, sources, and advice. She even made delicious
lunches. You will leave the workshop with several colorful creations
of your own. It's enlightening,
satisfying; a beneficial investment.

My blog is dedicated to silk painting
lovers My
favorite Subjects to paint:Images of Women: When drawing a women
gentle and
mysterious image I experience joy, peace, and harmony. Harmony to me is a
poetry of lines and colors that has a life of its own.
Ponds and Fishes:
Even
though my education and techniques are largely European, I have some
oriental
influence because I was born in a town bordering China. Dye on silk is the vessel that delivers ideas
to my mind, like visual Haikus that capture the breathtaking moment when
light
hits water and I observe what might have been seen through the eyes of a
dragonfly gliding over the pond.
Koi: My paintings are decorative. I enjoy the theme of fishes
and water because on silk turns out beautiful.

Townscapes: My favorite town is Prague, Czech Republic.
I Like Prague because
it has a sort of Fairy Tale feeling that matches my design.
Flowers: I love how
Flowers appear on silk. Each Silk Painting technique has its own beauty and I it
for its softness, shimmer, brilliant colors, Jewel effects and the beautiful
resisting outlines which create a two dimensional effect and a very defined
line with vivid details.
Trees: I like to paint Autumn alleys for their mysterious
beauty. They are the perfect place to feel a connection to the Earth.
Cats: I am a “cat” person; I love having them in my home. I
own two beautiful cats, whose grace and eloquence inspires me to make cats a
recurring theme in my art.
